Membership Policies

Club Fitness NY Etiquette Policy 

1. Members are required to wear appropriate gym attire and sneakers while using the facility. Members and guests will be asked to leave if not properly dressed.
2. Please be aware of personal hygiene including the wearing of deodorant
3. Members cannot misuse or mistreat, in any way, any part of the facilities, including but not limited to, the equipment, machinery, weights, utilities or any other part of the facilities.  Any destructive conduct will be cause for immediate revocation of membership, including the forfeiture of fees.  If the member is found to be responsible for damages, the member shall be liable for any and all costs, over and above the difference between the Member’s Fee Forfeiture, including but not limited to the actual damages, fees and any other costs arising out of the prosecution of claims against the member by Club Fitness N.Y.
4. Inappropriate and/or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and will result in immediate revocation of membership.
5. The possession of, use of, selling of drugs of any kind including any form of anabolic steroids are strictly prohibited in the facility and violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
6. All electronic devices must be used with earphones.
7. Cell phone use is prohibited in the cardio, strength and studio areas. Cameras and other image capturing devices are strictly prohibited in all areas of the gym. You are welcome to use you cell phones in our lobby and lounge areas.
8. Please wipe off exercise equipment (including benches) thoroughly after use.
9. Please do NOT drop or bang weight stacks or dumbbells.
10. Please return dumbbells/weights to their proper place after use.
11. Bags are prohibited in all fitness areas, please secure bags in the lockers during your workout.
12. No overnight locks are permitted (except for rental lockers) and management will remove any locks left overnight without prior notice.
13. Locker room sinks CANNOT be used to wash exercise clothes
14. Only plastic water bottles are permitted in the fitness areas. Cans or glass bottles are prohibited.
15. Members and guests must adhere to all rules set forth by Club Fitness NY staff (including instructors) pertaining to group fitness classes. 
16. Members may bring in a guest that has not previously used the facility. Guests must present a photo I.D. to be allowed a ONE DAY free trial. Guest access is limited to a one time use of the facility.  
 

Cave Etiquette

1. Members are required to wear appropriate gym attire and sneakers while using the facility. Members and guests will be asked to leave if not properly dressed.
2. Inappropriate and/or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and will result in immediate revocation of membership.
3. Please DO NOT bang weight stacks or dumbbells. Weights may be dropped from waist height only, i.e. during deadlifts. Dropping weights from overhead lifts is strictly prohibited.
4. Please be aware of your fellow members when using equipment and allow others to work in with you between sets. 
5. Please wipe off exercise equipment thoroughly after use and return equipment to its proper place.
6. If you do not know how to use a specific piece of equipment, please request assistance from Club Fitness New York staff.
7. Cell phone use, cameras and other image capturing devices are prohibited in the Cave. You are welcome to use you cell phones in our lobby and lounge areas

BOXING RING RULES

8. The boxing ring may be used ONLY during group fitness classes or with a certified Club Fitness New York instructor/trainer.
9. Requests to reserve boxing ring for pad/mitt work must be made with Club Fitness New York staff (usage is limited to 30 minute time slots)
10. Unauthorized use of boxing ring will result in immediate revocation of membership

Club Fitness NY Cancellation Policy

Club Fitness NY will be sad to see you go, please refer to your policy for cancellation details. Must personally visit the facility to submit cancellation request with a manager. You will receive a receipt of your request.

CANCELLATION: MEMBER MAY CANCEL THIS AGREEMENT WITHOUT ANY PENALTY OR FURTHER OBLIGATION WITHIN THREE (3) DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THIS AGREEMENT. 

CANCELLATION POLICY: If by reason of death or permanent disability, Member is unable to continue the membership (must submit official proof of medical excuse.)  Member or Member’s estate shall be relieved from the obligations of this Agreement. Should Member permanently move from their residence more than twenty-five (25) miles from Club Fitness NY, payment on this Agreement shall be suspended upon legitimate verification of the move. Cancellation without meeting above terms may be liable to cancellation fees ($150.00). Member agrees to follow Club Fitness NY rules as promulgated from time to time. Violation of these rules may be the cause for suspension or cancellation/revocation of membership. It is in the sole exclusive judgment of Club Fitness NY to reserve the right to terminate a membership with no rights, remedies or liabilities by any of the parties involved. 

Cancellation Procedure: All requests for cancellation must be made at least thirty (30) days in advance of the effective cancellation date to avoid charges on next billing date. Memberships that roll over to a Month to Month non contract require a thirty (30) day notice to cancel.  *If no written notice is given then this Agreement is automatically renewed.  There are no refunds on cancellations for Paid in Full membership agreements. 

Freeze policy: Members are allowed a one (1) month freeze during the one (1) year term of the contract. In the case of a medical condition, member must submit documented proof to extend the freeze past one month (3 max). A $15 fee is due for each freeze month. Frozen months are added to the end of the contractual agreement, thereby extending the contract for that time. 

 Default and Late Payment: Should Member default on any payment, obligation as called for in this Agreement, the entire remaining balance shall be deemed due and payable upon demand, and Member agrees to pay allowable interest, and all cost of collection, including, but not limited to, collection agency fees, court costs, and attorney fees. Should any monthly payment become more than ten (10) days past due, Member will be charged a Ten Dollars ($10) late fee, for EVERY 10 DAYS until balance has been satisfied to cover additional administrative expenses. A Fifteen Dollar ($15) fee will be charged on all returned payments/declined credit cards
